Incidentally the insomnia one is deemed "real" in law - somnambulism has (from memory) has been accepted as a defence in some criminal cases, where the standard includes awareness of the act; although standards differ in civil law, the fact of recognition as a potential circumstance that the law can acknowledge, seems sure even though I haven't heard of it coming up in non-criminal cases. | |
