If I were in OP’s shoes I would say I obtained the logos from Wikimedia Commons’ "public domain" license. That might impress the editor (even though it’s not a sound legal position - if the journal ends up sued by Mastercard, "we took the logo from another place that claimed a sketchy license" is not going to fly). | |
