I was offered a Job in Berlin by an Employer 2 months back. I signed the contract, offer letter. And with that I have received the Visa to Germany.

And just before 14 days of the joining I receive a Email with a termination letter because their economic reasons blah blah.

I have resigned from my Job, Invested money in apartments in Berlin, Booked Flights, Visa, etc.

The employer says that they cannot reimburse or compensate. I'm stuck, I have invested close to 2000Euors on this and I haven't even flown to Berlin yet and I'm jobless. I'm so stranded.

Does German law cover any of these situations? How should I deal with this?
