I am preparing my application for PERM labour certification towards US green card application. There have been a few changes in my team situation:

  • the manager to whom I used to report when I moved to US became my skip-level manager some time back

  • I got promoted and am in a different role within the same team now

Since my skip-level manager is also my ex-boss, can this person provide Employment Verification Letter for PERM?

Do you have any reason to believe that there are restrictions on who can provide the letter? Also, you may want to ask at Expatriates, where questions about administrative procedures tend to fit better than they do here. – phoog Mar 16 '18 at 16:14
  • I read that the letter is supposed to be a proof that the applicant is bringing in skills acquired overseas to US. I am not sure if this is correct, but if it is, I thought it would have to be provided by the candidate's ex-employers outside of US – Aadith Mar 16 '18 at 17:27
