I have a doctor's appointment today with an orthopedist to check out m my inflamed sciatica. My father is a local pharmacist, and the doctors office is literally behind the pharmacy. Needless to say my father knows and is close to all the doctors, nurses and other employees, and if course he not only made the appointment, but said he wanted to go with me (which is weird, judging from is experiences). I know he suspects I am using illegal and illicit substances because I have a history of addiction issues, but I'm actually clean at the moment. The thing is, I feel like it's a set up- I may just be paranoid from the lack of drugs, but it would be like him to ask them to test me. If they ask me to pee, I'm going to raise hell on general principal. What are the charges that would be filed if an employee of the office were to verbally share results of said test, and who would I contact if this happened? What are my rights in this case?

When asking what the specific laws are, you should state which jurisdiction applies. In most western countries the most probable situation is that you are protected by privacy laws, but it could be difficult to prove the existence of a leak. Having said that, have you considered going to any other clinic? – SJuan76 Aug 12 '19 at 14:18

Your age may also matter, if you're not legally an adult in your jurisdiction. – mkennedy Aug 12 '19 at 19:53
