The two jacuzzies in my complex are out of order and smell/look like human cesspools. The two signs that used to be on them, "out of order" are no longer there, but the jacuzzies remain in the same condition.

One night I ended up getting into the Jacuzzi halfway before I realized the smell. The next day, a cut I had on my leg looked infected. After going to the doctor, it turned out I got a staph infection.

Can I sue? Also, can the complex find a reason to kick me out if I attempt to sue?

Alternate scenarios:

  1. If I didn't get an infection or illness, could I still sue?
  2. Do I have to provide proof of the infection in order to sue? Or could I have treated it myself with my friend's leftover medication from his staph infection?

Thank you for your response!
