What US jurisdiction uses the term "depraved heart murder"? I've never encountered it before. Anyway, the answer will depend on the jurisdiction, since this area of law is mostly a state concern, not federal. – phoog Feb 20 at 20:28
  • the differences would be defined in the statutes. Typically it takes a level of legal training to understand the terminology used in those definitions. – Tiger Guy Mar 11 at 7:29
