About

I just bought a 1978 house in July 2020. It's ranch/split level, not the kind when you open the front door you're forced to go up or down stairs. Four levels because the usual crawlspace was dug out for living spaces. Previous owners did some renovations, but they were sloppy with some things. I already have a long list of repairs and improvements to do.

I owned a 1968 house for 10 years. Previous owners had been crack heads and hookers. Found a lot of weird stuff and "there I fixed it" situations. I cut my teeth doing a lot of various repairs there. For example, I renovated the basement down to the studs.

I was a software programmer until I got a brain tumor in 2011. Problem-solving, memory, attention, and focus are all shot now. Another brain tumor in 2018 made it worse. So I'm a brain-damaged disabled veteran, and a stay-at-home dad now.
