Sep 18 at 1:18 comment added Hobbamok @nvoigt yes when civilians do it it sounds absurd. But torture is banned and nobody was charged for """"enhanced interrogation""" to name just one example
Sep 17 at 18:42 comment added user71659 @tuskiomi That's still criminal, up to the death penalty. Deprivation of rights under color of law, 18 U.S. Code § 242.
Sep 17 at 15:06 comment added tuskiomi I see. this question is strictly the other way around; the 'kaboozlers' can be any form of government actor, and the 'kaboozle' isn't criminal activity, but any activity which has before been ruled a violation of individual rights.

Sep 16 at 14:50 comment added nvoigt I am trying to understand whether your question is really that obvious, or if there is a hidden meaning I did not get. Sometimes when I think "that should be obvious", I simply did not understand the question correctly.

Sep 15 at 6:28 comment added nvoigt I don't really understand the question. Do you think if you run into a bank and yell "this is a kaboozzle, give me all your money", you will not be charged, because you did not call it a robbery, and kaboozzles are not mentioned in the law? Laws are based on actions, not names.
