Aug 2, 2020 at 12:35 comment added Askar Kalykov Do they offer courses during the working hours? If not, it misses the target. The idea behind this is to compensate for women's unpaid labour. If they still require women to take their time(which is busy with other important thing already), then it would be only appearance of being women friendly. If they, however, do provide this during working hours, it's great!

If that free coding course was required for a promotion, that would be clearly discriminatory. And if you are male and feel you need a coding course, you would contact HR and see if their reply is discriminating.
